谷本あけみ

1980年から1983年まで英国に滞在。1984年から1985年パリ、バルセロナで在住。5年間のヨーロッパ生活で、写真やアート、音楽、ファッションなどを学び、アーティストとしての基盤を形成。1984にはスペインのアルティガス財団の陶工房を訪れ、以降作陶生活に。

帰国後、三重県伊賀市にて夫である陶芸家谷本洋氏の教えを基に、独自のスタイルで精力的に作陶し現在に至る。

Lived in England from 1980-1983. Moves to Paris and Barcelona from 1984-1985. Studies Photography, Art, Music, Fashion whilst her stay in Europe which creates her foundation for becoming an artist. She visits J.Llorens Artigas fondation in 1984 and has been making pottery ever since. After returning to Japan, she created her own style of art based on the teaching by her husband, Iga pottery artist Yoh Tanimoto
